" I SUFFERED A BROKEN ANKLE IN OCT. 2010 AND WAS IN 3 DIFFERENT CAST'S SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS VERY PLEASED TO BE ABLE TO USE A KNEE WALKER OVER THE 2 TO 3 MONTHS. "I fractured my 5th metatarsal on my right foot 8 weeks ago. My doctor wanted me to be off of my foot for six weeks and use crutches. Well the first day on crutches was a horrible. "I was scheduled to have ankle surgery for a torn ligament and tightening of over stretched ligaments. Three weeks before the surgery just walking through the grocery store the plantar fascia ligament in the same foot ruptured. I was put on crutches and in a air cast boot until my surgery, I was looking at 7 to 8 weeks on crutches. Someone at my work asked if I had checked into a knee scooter, I started doing some research and found Knee Walker Rentals of Georgia, Inc. Even though I had my surgery moved up to hopefully cut down on some of the non-weight bearing time I had ahead of me, I have rented a unit for a 4 week period and plan to extend if need be. Because of this invaluable little machine, I was able to enjoy my holidays and be much more mobile, scooting easily around wherever I needed to go.
